Category: Web Surfing

If you are bored of browsing the same old sites every time you log on to your computer , you have a solution just a few clicks away.

Stumble Upon is an extension for your web browser, which gives you the chance to find new sites just by clicking a button. This tutorial will help you install it and get started.

First of all, you must download the extension. If you are using firefox, you can get it from here , but you can find other sites from where you can download it just by doing a google search.

After you click the install now link, you will be asked by firefox for permission to install the extension.

Click again on install now, and wait for the download to complete. Now, just restart your browser and, if everything went ok, you will be asked to setup a profile or login as an existing user.

Since you don't have an account yet, choose the create a new account option, and you will be taken to the setup account page. Here, complete the information required (username, password etc.) and choose what types of sites you would like to browse. There are many categories you can choose from.

And you are ready to start stumbling!

You should see at the top of your firefox window this toolbar:

Remember to use the options you have available in your stumbleupon toolbar to improve your browsing experience. For example, by rating the sites you browse using the "I like it" or "Not for me" buttons, it will automatically adjust to your preferences.
